As a mom, there is no greater joy than seeing your children grow. Witnessing every milestone in their lives is such a fulfillment. Back then work at home moms are not yet so familiar.
I've decided to be a stay at home mom when our second child was born. He was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease, ten days after delivery. It was a painful moment for the family, yet we chose to accept what God has given to us. My dream of becoming a working mom came to an end. Staying at home, taking care of the kids was the right decision for me at that moment.
However, they will not remain babies throughout this lifetime. And as they grow old, their needs also increase. Will we be able to send them to college? How about if there will be an uncontrollable situation that needs financial means? For the coming years, my husband's income will not be enough to sustain our needs. Staying at home without earning will not help the situation.
The idea of being a work at home mom, enlightened me when I came across a Facebook add. I saw Coach Grace of the Filipino Virtual Assistants promoting freelancing. I saw the hope that working at home is not impossible. I can be a mom who works and earn while staying at home to watch over the kids. I can be a virtual assistant.
I became a student of the FVA Academy. I was enrolled in the freelancing course through the mentorship of Coach Julmar Grace Locsin. FVA offers a wide variety of courses from zero knowledge to in-depth courses. Today, I am acquiring new skills and realizing my dream to the world of freelancing, on becoming a virtual assistant and becoming a work at home mom.
Indeed, life is a series of choices. They say it is never too late to become what you might have been. I will claim it! I will claim financial freedom! I will claim victory! Yes! I can earn while staying at home. Yes! I can be a work at home mom.
